Well what a start I’ve had to the year. The past few months have already seen a fantastic mix of projects, from community events and commercial work to stunning property shoots across Cornwall.

One of the standout moments so far has been working with Sea Change Atlantic, capturing part of their winter training row from Fowey to Lantic Bay. Filmed in true Cornish winter conditions, this session is just a small part of a much bigger journey, as the team prepare to row 3,200 miles across the Atlantic in 2027 as part of The Atlantic Dash. Supporting incredible causes including Parkinson’s UK and Axminster & Lyme Cancer Support, it’s a project that combines endurance, purpose, and the powerful connection between the sea and wellbeing - click here to discover more about Sea Change Atlantic.

Community-focused work has also been a highlight. I had the pleasure of capturing the Charlestown Harbour 2026 Season Launch Celebration, marking the reopening of the lock gate bridge and the start of a new season. From live music and workshops to traditional dancing and sea shanties, the day was a brilliant reflection of the harbour’s spirit and the people behind it.

Another rewarding project was working with the Mylor Community Orchard at Mylor Bridge. Capturing the newly planted orchard from above offered a unique perspective on a space that’s set to become a valuable community asset. Following the shoot, I produced a fully annotated plan identifying all 136 trees, helping create a lasting and practical resource for volunteers and visitors. It’s an inspiring example of how green spaces, accessibility, and community effort can come together.

Across the commercial and local business side, it’s been great to continue supporting a range of clients. From updated imagery for Four Turnings Garage following their recent improvements, to refreshed internal and external photography for The Par Inn - now with an upgraded beer garden ready for the summer season - these projects highlight how strong visuals can showcase spaces at their very best.

Property work has remained a core part of the year so far, with a wide variety of homes. From a beautifully positioned property in Devoran overlooking Restronguet Creek, to an exceptional barn conversion in Tregony set within expansive grounds on the Roseland Peninsula, each shoot has offered something unique. I’ve also photographed countryside homes near Liskeard, coastal properties with incredible views towards Nare Headland, and rural properties set within acres of gardens and paddocks - each one benefiting from the added perspective that aerial imagery brings.

On the commercial side, I’ve recently completed a full aerial and ground-level shoot of an industrial estate in Grampound and St Austell, delivering a comprehensive visual record for the client under a tight turnaround. Additional work has included roof inspection in Helston and continued site documentation in Fowey, where an exciting build is now progressing with its steel framework in place and views opening out towards the river.

It’s already been a year defined by variety, momentum, and some incredible locations. From documenting community initiatives and major personal challenges to helping showcase homes and businesses, every project continues to build on the foundations of last year - and there’s plenty more still to come.
