As the summer months unfolded, I kept the momentum going with a brilliant mix of iconic community traditions, technical drone surveys, and high-end property shoots across Cornwall and Devon.

Historic Milestones & Heritage One of my standout moments of the season was documenting the historic 100th West of England Bandsmen's Festival at the Bugle Band Contest. Capturing the centenary celebration from both the ground and the air was a privilege, especially witnessing The GUS Band lift the Royal Trophy for the first time since 1955. Between heritage events like Bugle and chasing golden hour sunsets over the iconic engine house at Wheal Coates in St. Agnes, I've loved showcasing Cornish tradition at its very best.

Commercial & Business Showcases On the commercial front, my work ranged from vibrant local brands to large-scale industrial sites. Down on the Fowey estuary, I captured dynamic ground and aerial visuals for Ruby’s Ice Cream to support their social media campaigns. Over at Mawgan Porth, I spent time filming beachfront imagery and video for The Merrymoor Inn’s upcoming website update. Further inland, I delivered comprehensive bird's-eye visuals of Faheys’ brand-new, state-of-the-art concrete plant in Roche alongside coverage of their site at Carnsew Quarry.

Architectural Detail & Technical Inspections Precision was key for several specialised shoots I took on this summer. I travelled to both St. Ives and South Molton in Devon to document high-end natural slate roofing and building facades for upcoming architectural competition entries. In Torquay, I completed an extensive pre-surveyor visual inspection on Marychurch Road to record the property's condition - accompanied by a very inquisitive local seagull. On the technical side, I carried out thermal solar inspections near Trerulefoot that confirmed peak efficiency for a large agricultural installation, while a shoot in Tywardreath allowed me to highlight the remarkable burnt-larch craftsmanship of a custom garden office created by Rory’s Wooden Designs.

Property & Progress Tracking My property shoots took me to incredible locations, including a rare coastal bungalow in National Trust-protected Bohortha on the Roseland Peninsula and expansive countryside retreats in Zelah. I also mapped multiple land parcels at The Coachhouse in Bodmin and completed my annual drone revisit to document site progression at The Granary, continuing a multi-year visual record for the client.
