Le Dorney Villas Cornwall - A Bespoke Digital Showcase in the Heart of Cornwall

We’re delighted to share one of our most rewarding recent projects – the brand-new website for Le Dorney Villas, a stunning holiday let destination tucked away in the Cornish countryside. Launched at the end of July 2025, the site was built with a simple but ambitious goal: to offer the same clarity and ease of use as major booking platforms, while remaining true to the personal, offline booking experience that makes Le Dorney Villas so unique.
Designing with Purpose
Owners Matt and Tamsin approached us with a clear vision. They wanted a website that would:
Showcase their beautiful villas with professional imagery
Present up-to-date rental rates in a clean and simple way
Reflect the charm and character of Cornwall
Support bookings without acting as a full online booking engine
Because so many of their guests come through word-of-mouth or third-party platforms, the site was designed as an informative showcase and gateway, rather than a booking hub. To achieve this, we developed a custom rates table that makes seasonal pricing easy to view, without complicating the user journey.
Smart Tech Behind a Simple Interface
Although Wix was chosen as the platform, it comes with some limitations when it comes to dynamic pricing. To overcome this, we built a JSON-based pricing system running behind the scenes. This allows Matt and Tamsin to update their rates quickly and confidently, while the frontend remains clean, reliable, and user-friendly. It’s a future-proof solution designed for longevity.
Visual Storytelling at Its Best
All site photography and video content was created by our team at HD Drone Photography. From aerial shots of the villas to sweeping views of the surrounding Cornish landscapes, every image was crafted to give prospective guests an authentic taste of what’s waiting for them.
The “Plan Your Visit” page is one of our favourites - it features curated imagery from our own stock archive, handpicked to reflect the serene beauty and character of the area.
New Feature Highlight: Walking Holidays
As of mid-August 2025, we’ve also rolled out an exciting new section on the site: Walking Holidays.
This addition showcases tailored routes that can now be booked through Le Dorney Villas. Each route is displayed with interactive maps in the background, giving visitors a sense of adventure even before they arrive.
Guests staying at the villas will find a QR code in their welcome pack, linking them to a printable digital version of the walking guide. This means no more stacks of printed handouts - just a smart, eco-friendly way to explore Cornwall.
We’ve also integrated CMS-based pricing controls for these walking holidays, allowing the client to manage and update pricing content easily, without touching the core design of the site.
Beyond the Website: Printed Branding Materials
As part of the project, we also designed a set of printed materials to match the branding of the villas website. These included posters that can be displayed in the nearby pub and other neighbouring businesses, each featuring a QR code linking directly to the website.
This not only reinforces the professional look and feel of the villas but also creates a seamless connection between offline and online marketing, making it even easier for potential guests to discover Le Dorney Villas.
